Funeral services for Audrey J. (A.J.) Boyett, 72, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, La. with Bro. Joe Walker, pastor of Logan Baptist Church and Bro. Eric Garrett, pastor of Greenville United Pentecostal Church officiating. Interment followed at O.E. Price Cemetery in Logansport.
Mr. Boyett passed away Thursday, Dec. 22. He was born May 16, 1939 in San Augustine to Johnny H. and Audrey Barnett Boyett. Mr. Boyett worked with Louisiana-Pacific Plywood Company and later retired as purchasing agent with Georgia-Pacific Plywood Company. Before that, he worked many years at Center Hatchery and Farms. After retirement, he enjoyed working at Caraway’s in Logansport, part time.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Johnny Boyett.    
Mr. Boyett is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Santos Boyett; son, Tommy Boyett and wife, Ann, of Joaquin; daughter, Becky Rogers and husband, Carl, of Center; grandchildren, Jeremy Boyett and wife, SueSue, Justin Boyett and wife, Katie, Matt Rogers and wife, Thresa of Gary, Chloe Rogers of Center and Joe Rogers of Center.; great-grandchildren, Lisa Garrett, Levi Manalli, Ainsley Boyett, Raegan Ridgway and J.P. Woods.
Arrangements were under the direction of Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport.
