Graveside services for Deva Ray Mason, 83, of Joaquin were held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2011 at Johnson Cemetery in Joaquin.
Mrs. Mason passed away Friday, Dec. 23 in Center.  She was born Jan. 14, 1928 in Joaquin to Raymond R. Smith and Pearl Thorn Smith. Mrs. Mason was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Joaquin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Smith and wife, Bertha; mother, Pearl Thorn Smith; sister, Doyce Kerr; and brothers, Daniel Rance Smith and Jack Spencer Smith.
Mrs. Mason is survived by her husband, Bill Mason of Joaquin; daughter, Joyce Cox of Joaquin; son, Bill Mason Jr. and wife, Stacy, of Joaquin; grandchildren, Larry Cox and wife, Cassie, David Windham and wife, Leslie, and Zach, Adam and Molly Mason; great-grandchildren, Nikki Cox, Jacob Cox, Lane Bates and Trace Windham; sisters, Dessie Kale of Joaquin and Dorothy Lawson of Joaquin; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
