Wulf Outdoor Sports East Texas Premier Outdoor Sporting store, along with Under Amour, Lacrosse Boots and Nikon, will host the 2nd Annual Wild Hog Roundup April 11–21. Hunters from across East Texas will compete for $28,000 in cash prizes for harvesting hogs across 20 East Texas Counties – Anderson, Angelina, Cherokee, Ellis, Freestone, Gregg, Henderson, Houston, Kaufman, Leon, Nacogdoches, Navarro, Panola, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Smith, Trinity and Van Zandt Counties.
Land Owners who are interested in having hunters from Wulf Outdoor Sports Wild Hog Roundup come and hunt hogs on their property can be added to a Land Owner contact list for hunters. Land Owners interested in having designated teams hunt on their land please e-mail marketing@wulfoutdoorsports.com or call 936-598-8310 and ask to speak with either Virginia Solgot or Jerrad Parsons.
With community support to control the destructive feral hog population a bounty of $15,000 will be paid to the teams of up to four who bring in the most hogs during this 10-day period.
According to the Texas Department of Agriculture-Feral Hogs in Texas are responsible for approximately $400 million in direct damage to Texas every year.
There are nearly 2.6 million feral hogs in Texas and feral hogs are found in nearly every county across the State of Texas.
The Wulf Outdoor Sports Wild Hog Roundup was created to encourage counties and hunters across East Texas to make a concentrated and coordinated effort to help reduce the feral hog population and damage done to property across East Texas.
