Funeral services for Albert W. Windham, 95, of Center were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Watson and Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Pat Windham officiating. Interment followed at Oaklawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Windham passed away Friday, March 23, in Center. He was born October 27, 1916 in Center to Lonnie L. Windham and Velma McGee Windham. Mr. Windham was employed at Old’s Supermart for twenty-five years and also worked as a farmer, rancher and carpenter. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by parents; and son, William Henry Windham.
Mr. Windham is survived by his wife, Pearline Windham of Center; son, David Windham and wife, Bonnie, of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Janet Hughes and husband, Edward, of Carthage, Darla Smith and husband, Carey, of Nashville, Cathryn Windham of Terlingua, William Windham of Nacogdoches and Allison Gallegos and husband, Ed of Jonesboro; great-grandchildren, Brittany Breaux of Nashville and Harrison Windham of Strawn; special friend, Paul Breaux of Center; brother, Preston Windham of Center; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Tom Watkins, Jeff Webster, Billy Williams, Larry Williams, Steve Barr, Charles Barr and Terry Walton.
Honorary pallbearers were Charles Williams, Billy Mac Walton and Buford Weaver.
