Funeral services for Mary Helen Simmons, 64, of Nacogdoches, formerly of Shelby County, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Mangum Funeral Home with Bro. Hollis Bass officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 10 at Knight & Chapel Cemetery in Lewisville, Ark.
Mrs. Simmons passed away Tuesday, June 5 in Nacogdoches.She was born Aug. 10, 1947 in Lafayette County, Ark. to Leland and Annie Hendricks Rogers. She was a member of Old Home Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant Sister, Baby Rogers and
sister-in-law, Marie “Recee” Rogers.
Mrs. Simmons is survived by her husband, Rolan Simmons of Nacogdoches; son, Randy Simmons and wife, Angie, of Buckner, Ark; daughter, Bobbie Sue Scates and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Brandon Simmons and wife, Carri, of Garrison, Randi McDonald and husband, Tyler, of Lewisville, Ark., Dale Scates of Center and Kaleigh Scates of Center; great-grandchildren, Justus Hooper, Kaydence Simmons and Hunter McDonald;
brother, Merrill Rogers of Buckner, Ark.; sister, Virginia Covington and husband, Bill, of Buckner, Ark.; sister-in-law, Francis Hughes and husband, Sidney, of New Waverly; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
