Funeral services for Alice “Marie” Broadway Odom, 79, of Tenaha were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Watson and Sons Chapel with Bro. Keith Keele officiating. Internment followed at Ramah Cemetery.
Mrs. Odom passed away June 11 in Tyler. She was born Aug. 11, 1932 in Bastrop, La. to John Henry Broadway and Mazelle Barton Broadway. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #185 and Ramah Missionary Baptist Church in Tenaha.
She was preceded in death by both parents; son, David Odom; and brother, Henry Broadway.
Mrs. Odom is survived by husband, L.B. “Red” Odom of Tenaha; son, Mark Odom and wife, Reeca, of Tenaha; daughter, Debrah Coker and husband, Randy, of Athens; grandchildren, Bradley Odom and wife, Alleena, of Tenaha, Rainey Coker of Athens, and Matthew Odom of Tenaha; great-grandchild, Allison Odom of Tenaha; brother, Jimmy Broadway of Tenaha; sisters, Irene Gentry of Overton and Mary Johnson of Houston; and a number of nieces and nephews.
