SCOM to auction off George Foreman boxing glove July 28

An autographed boxing glove from former Heavyweight Champion of the World, George Foreman, will be auctioned off at the Willie P. Richardson Family Comedy Concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 28 in Center. The event will be held at the John D. Windham Civic Center, 146 Express Boulevard. All proceeds from the concert and from the boxing glove auction will benefit Shelby County Outreach Ministries, Inc.
Shelby County Outreach Ministries, Inc., operates the Shelby County and San Augustine County Nutrition Sites, as well as the Meals on Wheels program and Helping Hands Outreach Center. The organization is in need of funds and products to continue with their work in assisting those in need of help.
Willie P. Richardson is a nationally-known comedian whose recordings have sold over one million copies and are aired on hundreds of radio stations, including Sirius/XM. He is proud of the fact that his humor is “clean” and is suitable for all ages.
Advance tickets are are available at Covington Lumber and Ace Hardware in Center. In San Augustine, tickets are available at the Senior Nutrition Center, 405 South Bolivar. Tickets will be more at the door on the evening of the performance.
