Cars collide in front of courthouse
A two-vehicle wreck occurred on San Augustine Street at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Monday, July 2. A 2003 Mazda driven by Michelle Askew, 33, of Center was making a left hand turn onto San Augustine Street from Houston Street. Askew's view was obstructed by a car hauler that was parked on the side of the roadway when she pulled out onto San Augustine Street and collided with a 2012 Nissan driven by Rebecca Pope, 51, of Joaquin. No citations have been given at this time.
