Hague joins staff as sports writer

The Light and Champion newspaper announces that Nathan Hague has joined The Light and Champion staff as sports writer and reporter.
“We are looking forward to having Nathan be a part of our editorial team as our sports writer and sports reporter,” stated The Light and Champion publisher JoAnna Martin.
“Nathan is a native east Texan and he brings with him a solid knowledge of many of the areas sports teams,” Martin said.
Prior to joining The Light and Champion, Nathan has worked as a sports writer and reporter for the Tyler Morning Telegraph, the Jacksonville Progress and the Baytown Sun, as well as a sports correspondent for The Daily Sentinel. In addition, he has worked as a sports producer for KTBB Radio in Tyler.
Nathan graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a BA in journalism and minored in radio and television. While a student at SFA, Nathan served as sports editor for the SFA newspaper, “The Pine Log.”
“I look forward to meeting and getting to know the people of Shelby County, and reporting on the area’s sports news,” stated Nathan.
