Dellinger’s re-sell it shop possible target of afternoon robbery.
At approximately 12:40 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, two men are reported to have pulled into the parking lot at Dellinger’s Christmas Store located at 1866 State Highway 7 East.
According to Sheriff Newton Johnson, the men exited a white two-door vehicle with a spoiler on the back, and walked toward the re-sell it shop wearing all black, including black gloves and ski masks.
As the men approached the store the woman that was inside awaiting customers witnessed the men approaching the building. She locked the door and watched, as the two men realized that they had been spotted by the woman they turned around, went back to the car, and left the scene in the vehicle.
The vehicle traveled westbound on State Highway 7 East to Airport Road (CR 1656) where they took a right turn and headed north.
It is unknown at this time what direction the men traveled after leaving Airport Road.
The description of the men appears to match that of two other robbery incidents that have taken place in Center in the last three weeks.
