Risinger winner of essay contest

Kris Risinger was the 2012 winner of the William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Texas History Essay contest with an essay about the Battle of San Jacinto. Kris had a six times great-grandfather, Moses Fisk Roberts, who fought in the battle and is buried in Shelby County in the Shelbyville Cemetery.
