Open cast/crew call to be held at Shelby County courthouse

Have you ever wanted to take part in a film? An open casting call has been scheduled to be held at the Shelby County Courthouse on Wednesday, Sept. 5 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Over the next year there are to be several films produced in the East Texas area by Quest Media Group and David Masterson Productions Inc. The open casting call is in hopes of finding new talent to be involved in these films.

The open casting/crew call is for anyone interested in working on short films or acting whether they be novice, or experienced. 

SAG/AFTA actors are welcome. No minors unless accompanied by a parent. During the audition applicants will be interviewed, asked to read a few lines on camera, and have some photos taken. Anyone that is selected will be contacted.

Online submissions are also being accepted and are asked to include head shots, full body shots, personal data, and demo reel (if applicable).

Anyone that works on the film or is part of the cast/crew will receive a copy of the finished film on DVD, as well as credits. The films are submitted to various film festivals and are mostly low budget/short films. Depending on the project most positions will not be paid, but depending on what festivals the films are submitted to (should the films win any prize money), will have deferred payment agreements compensating actors and crew at current industry rates.
