Graveside services for A.M. “Shad” Shadowens, 96, of Center were held at 2  p.m., Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 with Bro. Jim Moss and Bro. Bennie Boles officiating.   
Mr. Shadowens passed away Tuesday, Jan. 4. He was born June 7, 1914 in Panola County to Monroe C. Shadowens and Cora Force Shadowens. Mr. Shadowens was a member of North Jericho Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Birtie Lee Shadowens.
Mr. Shadowens is survived by daughter, Martha Lout and husband, Jack, of Center; grandson, Shad Lout and wife, Casey, of Center; great-grandchildren, Colby Monroe Lout, Ely Jack Lout and Dylan Coye Lout; and special friends, J.L. Berel and Betty Parker.
