Graveside services for Hurst E. Hagler, 91, of Stonewall, La. were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2011 at Oaklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Frank Himmel officiating.
Mr. Hagler passed away Friday, Jan. 21 in Stonewall. He was born Aug. 29, 1919 in Shelby County to Brither Hagler and Maggie Askew Hagler. Mr. Hagler served in the Marine Corps. He was an elder of Viking Drive Church of Christ in Bossier City, La.
He was receded in death by his wife, Marcell Hagler; son, Gene Edward Hagler; brother, Leon Hagler; and sisters, Lemerle Collins and Edna George.
Mr. Hagler is survived by sons, Gary Hagler and wife, Holly, of Keithville, La., Rick Hagler and wife, Julie, of Karnack and Kevin Hagler and wife, Cindy, of Elysian Fields; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
