Funeral services for Walter C. Rainbolt Jr. 44, of Center will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Center with Bro. Bruce James and Bro. Chris Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.
Visitation was held today, Friday, Feb. 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Watson and Sons Funeral Home.
Mr. Rainbolt passed away Wednesday, Feb. 2 in Center. He was born March 13, 1966 in Nacogdoches to Walter Clarence Rainbolt Sr. and Laura Bounds Rainbolt. He was a 1984 graduate of Center High School. Over the years, he had been involved in many different business endeavors. Mr. Rainbolt was currently managing Timpson Tire Company in Timpson. He was a member of Shelby County Cookers and founded the National Wild Turkey Federation in Shelby County. He was a member of Center Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by father, Walter C. “Bo” Rainbolt; and brother, Randy Phelps.
Mr. Rainbolt is survived by daughter, Cassidy Elizabeth Rainbolt of Center; son, Walter Caiden Rainbolt of Center; mother, Laura Bounds Rainbolt of Center; brother, Mark Phelps and wife, Jane, of Center; sisters, Jon Phelps Rholes of Kyle and Laura Jo Richardson and husband, Kirk, of Jasper; nieces, Dianne Phelps of Austin, Kelly Rholes of San Marcos, Avery Rholes of Jasper, Alex Rholes of Jasper and Alivia Rholes of Jasper; nephew, Ryan Rholes of San Diego, Calif.; special friend, Jennifer Weaver of Center; and great-aunt, Frances “Sister” Moody of Mt. Enterprise.
Pallbearers will be Chris Mayfield, Bruce Jones, Larry Horn, Randy Gilespie, Jonathan Wulf, Adam Ray, Steve Tinkle, and Don Wheeler.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Shelby County Cookers, Carter Ray Garner, Murray Mathews, J.B. Raymond, Mitch Davis, Roscoe McSwain, Prentis Hay, Tim Guenther and Kelly Thompkins.
