Mr. Tibbs passed away Jan. 30. He was born Jan. 27, 1926 to Wess Tibbs and wife, Velois Tibbs. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1944. In 1947, he married Audrey Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Barry Pierce; and sister, Jennie Pierce.
