This Saturday, February 3, is “Take Your Kids To The Library Day,” and the Fannie Brown Booth Library in the Center is ready.

Take this opportunity to teach your children about your local library, how the library benefits the community, and, most importantly, how reading is fun.

We will have a Storytime, a photo booth, puzzles and Legos tables, a craft table, and an appearance by Bandit the Racoon.

We will also offer free library cards (parents bring a current photo ID) for everyone who vis- its the library.

u On the first Saturday in February, thousands of libraries worldwide celebrate “Take Your Child to the Library Day” by offering free, fun, fabulous activities for families. Your local library is ideal for children to play, discover, make friends, and have fun. Taking Your Child to Library Day is the perfect time to discover library magic.

Then mark your calendar for Take Your Child to the Library Day. Stop in for a visit. Enjoy the activities. Get a library card (they’re free!), meet your children’s librarian, and explore all the wonders your local library offers your family. And be sure to stop in again soon – because every day is excellent for taking your child to the library.
