Local Candidates asked to contact the newspaper this week
After a great holiday break, The Light and Champion has a fantastic month of specials planned for our advertisers and readers.
A new Real Estate section is now in the works, featuring properties, homes, land, and commercial buildings up for grabs to start the new year. Entitled “New Year - New Home,” the section will feature total pages of color advertising from local and area-wide real estate companies to offer our readers the best real estate deals in Shelby and surrounding counties.
The section will be published at the end of January as an added section to The Light and Champion, so keep an eye out for that issue; it will be packed with outstanding real estate deals.
The Light and Champion is also gearing up for election coverage. Shelby County has many races (all in the Republican primary) that will be determined in the Republican Primary and even a couple that may face run-off elections.
Questionnaires are being sent to candidates now, and the newspaper hopes that all the wouldbe public servants return those questionnaires in time to publish candidate biographies to help us all make a better voting decision in 2024.
Last, but not least by any means, the newspaper has begun work on the new Business Directory for Shelby County. Another full color / glossy desktop magazine that will feature businesses throughout Shelby County. High-class Yellow Pages will have up-to-date information and different attractions tucked into a neat desktop magazine.
With these many projects, the newspaper looks very busy promoting all the businesses of Shelby County, and we look forward to talking with all of our businesses and candidates. Let’s kick off 2024 and move enterprises forward to start the new year.
