Imer Nell Vaughn, 87, of Huxley, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023.

Visitation was Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, from 10 to noon at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Gordon Vaughn and Bro. Michael McArthur officiating. Interment will follow at Strong Cemetery in Huxley.

Imer was born August 10, 1935, to the late George Fancher and Lee Ella Wilburn Fancher. She was a member of Lydia Baptist Church in Huxley, and loved her church family. Some hobbies she enjoyed were watching the Dallas Cowboys, going to softball games, and playing dominos. She enjoyed being around her family and loved her grandsons very much.

She is survived by her daughters, Kay Balkcom and husband Roger of Joaquin, Gearline Dean and husband Rodney of Joaquin; grandsons, Jeff Dean and wife Ashley of Joaquin, Jason Balkcom and wife Ashley of Huxley, Brian Dean and fiancée Konner of Joaquin, Luke Balkcom and wife Lauren of Alto; great grandchildren, Dylan Dean, Alaina Dean, Landry Balkcom, Bowen Balkcom, Gavin Balkcom, and Tatum Balkcom; brother, Rodger Fancher and wife Karen; Brother in laws, Robert Vaughn and wife Nicki, Larry Vaughn and wife Dian, Jackie Vaughn, Waylon Vaughn and wife Regina, Gerald Vaughn and wife Patti; sister in law, Marie Permenter and husband W.T.; special friend, Janice Furlow; special caregivers, Sue Jenkins, and Faye Gardner; many nieces and nephews and a loving church family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Marlie Vaughn; parents, George and Lee Ella Fancher; brother, L.G. Fancher; in laws, Austin (Jack) Vaughn and wife Hazel Vaughn; brother-in-law, Darrell Vaughn and wife Kathern, Prentice Vaughn and wife Olga; sisters in law, Patricia Vaughn, and Janice Moody.

Pallbearers were Jeff Dean, Jason Balkcom, Brian Dean, Luke Balkcom, Dale Fancher, and Keith Oswalt.
